The Department is affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University and offers Under-Graduate programmes.

Till now the department has three faculties with Ph.D. degree, many faculty members are pursuing Ph.D. programme in different reputated universities. The Electrical Engineering Department is enriched with various laboratories and having more than 1000 students in the department.

The EE Department practices the Outcome Based Education (OBE) approach for teaching-learning process. This is a learning-centric approach rather than traditional teaching-centric approach to education. This approach focuses on the attributes the students should possess after the completion of the programme through the following key questions:-

  1. At the end of the course, what should a student be able to do?
  2. How can the faculty and staff help the student in gaining this ability?
  3. How will we measure if the students have gained this ability?
  4. How to involve all the stakeholders viz. students, faculty, alumni, employers, industry, parents and society, for continuous improvement of the programme?

Under OBE model, the quality of teaching is measured by the quality of learning, defined as outcomes, that takes place. Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) are formulated to align with the vision and mission of the Department. Programme Outcomes (POs) are defined to achieve PEOs which are further aligned to Course Outcomes (CO) of each subject. Vision, Mission and PEOs are the long-term outcomes whereas POs and COs are the short-term outcomes.

Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering or B.Tech. (EE) is a full time under graduate programme, affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University, with a total duration 4 years, each year comprising of two semesters. It is one of the most sought after programme. All admissions to this programme are through Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process(REAP).

The course curriculum includes core courses along with professional as well as open elective courses. Courses from humanities, and social, basic and engineering sciences are also given due weightage as per standard norms.

In this race of just coming first and not grasping any knowledge, Xananoids took its initial step in inculcating the knowledge among the students of the first year with the basic of robotics. The seminar took place in three sessions. It was great to see such overwhelming enthusiasm of the young buds. We wish that this zeal and curiosity learn more and more stays forever. The members of the Xananoids club go to various technical fests in a different event. Recently the team took part in plinth tech fest of LNMIIT in the transporter and stood second in it. The team consist of Mithlesh (ECE) Rishabh (ECE) Harish (Mech) Gaurav (Mech) Jitendra (Mech) and Shubham (CSE).
