The Department is affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University and offers Under-Graduate programmes.
The EE Department practices the Outcome Based Education (OBE) approach for teaching-learning process. This is a learning-centric approach rather than traditional teaching-centric approach to education. This approach focuses on the attributes the students should possess after the completion of the programme through the following key questions:-
Under OBE model, the quality of teaching is measured by the quality of learning, defined as outcomes, that takes place. Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) are formulated to align with the vision and mission of the Department. Programme Outcomes (POs) are defined to achieve PEOs which are further aligned to Course Outcomes (CO) of each subject. Vision, Mission and PEOs are the long-term outcomes whereas POs and COs are the short-term outcomes.
To achieve these outcomes, the initiatives includes the classroom learning, hands-on practical training, case studies, and research-based projects to enhance the learning experience. The department provides well-equipped laboratories with the latest hardware and software tools, enabling students to gain hands-on experience in power electronics, power systems, control engineering, renewable energy, and automation. Students are also encouraged to engage in research projects, fostering innovation and critical thinking from second year onwards.
To bridge the gap between academia and industry, the department actively collaborates with leading companies and research organizations. We conduct guest lectures, technical workshops, industrial visits, and internship programs to expose students to real-world challenges. Skill development programs in emerging technologies such as Embedded System, Electric vehicles (EV’s), Photovoltaic (PV’s), internet of thing (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) in Electrical Engineering further enhance employability.
Our students consistently secure top university ranks in the university. In year 2024, three students of the department holds the following position in RTU merit list.
Further, Ms Priyanksa Harchandani has been recognised as NPTEL Enthusiast in session 2023-2024.
Moreover, students publish quality research papers, and receive recognitions throughout the world. Their academic excellence and technical competence make them stand out in both higher education and professional careers.
The Department of Electrical Engineering at JECRC remains dedicated for providing an exceptional academic experience that prepares students for a successful career in the field of electrical engineering.
The Department is affiliated to Rajasthan Technical University and offers Under-Graduate programmes.
Till now the department has three faculties with Ph.D. degree, many faculty members are pursuing Ph.D. programme in different reputated universities. The Electrical Engineering Department is enriched with various laboratories and having more than 1000 students in the department.
